RIDGEWOOD LIBRARY

The main reading room of this 1927 Neo-Tudor style building by the architect Henry Brucker has been restored, as well as the historic features of the exterior façade and the side garden adjacent to the public classrooms at the Ground Floor.

The original radiating book stacks from the central reference area, interior surfaces and details are restored, while bringing the 21st century state-of-the-arts technology to the patrons of this small neighborhood library. A new Youth Study Area is created within the volume of the main Reading Room.

Client/Location: Queens Library, New York City Dept. of Design & Construction
